1st Day: US - Cartagena
Ready to experience the colorful culture of the Colombian Caribbean coast? Head to your departure airport to catch your flight*. Touch down in Cartagena and transfer to the hotel. Depending on your arrival time enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure exploring this beautiful colonial city. Overnight stay in Cartagena.
*If your inbound flight departs in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.
2nd Day: Cartagena - Santa Marta
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, it's time for a little beach-side bliss. Transfer by road to Santa Marta, situated on the Caribbean Coast and known for its busy port and beautiful beaches, not to mention the outstanding natural beauty of its surroundings.
Arrive, transfer to the hotel and take some time to appreciate the sea views. A romantic stroll along the beach is the perfect way to end the day. Overnight stay in Santa Marta.
3rd Day: Santa Marta
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a day at your leisure in beautiful Santa Marta, soaking up the Spanish-influenced architecture and charming atmosphere of the Old Town.
We recommend an optional full-day excursion to Tayrona National Natural Park for an unforgettable day of epic natural landscapes*. Overnight stay in Santa Marta.
*Optional Tayrona, Cañaveral & Arrecifes excursion: set off to the Cañaveral Sector of Tayrona National Natural Park to enjoy an exciting hike, of approximately 5 hours in total, through the tropical forest trails to the Arrecifes Sector, recognised for its stunning natural beauty. Admire the abundant nature before arriving at a natural pool, the ideal place for a relaxing swim and enjoy the views of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain range and the Caribbean Coast.
4th Day: Santa Marta
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a day at your leisure in beautiful Santa Marta, where you can soak up the sun and simply relax on the beach with a fresh coconut in hand. We recommend an optional cultural city tour to get to know the real story of the city*. Overnight stay in Santa Marta.
*Optional Cultural City Tour: kick-off the tour at the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, Altar of the Fatherland, and Bolivarian Museum of Contemporary Art. Continue to the Pibe Valderrama Monument, located in the city's sports center, the Taganga viewpoint to witness a beautiful panoramic view of the area, and end the tour with a walk through the Historic Center, around the Plaza de Bolívar, Cathedral, Parque de los Novios and Santa Marta Marina.
5th Day: Santa Marta - Cartagena
Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, bid farewell to Santa Marta as you transfer back to Cartagena by road, enjoy the scenic landscapes of the Caribbean coast along the journey.
Arrive, transfer to the hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. We recommend watching the sunset from an ocean-side bar with an ice-cool cocktail. Overnight stay in Cartagena.
6th Day: Cartagena
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy your morning at leisure in this vibrant city. In the afternoon, take a panoramic tour of the main neighborhoods of the city: Bocagrande, Castillogrande and Manga until you reach and enter the Castillo de San Felipe.
Next, visit the emblematic Church of San Pedro Claver that dates back to the 1600s. End the tour with a walk through the stunning colonial walled city where you can admire its beautiful squares, narrow streets and houses with their balconies magnificently decorated with flowers. Overnight stay in Cartagena.
7th Day: Cartagena - US
Breakfast at the hotel*. After an unforgettable getaway in Colombia, it's time to head home. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for a flight back to the US. Arrive in the US and end your trip.
