Experience the splendor of Patagonia on an adventure through the magical Andes! Get to know the cosmopolitan culture of Buenos Aires and be charmed by the alpine-style architecture of beautiful Bariloche. Cross the Andes by boat, admiring the glistening lakes and mountains as you go, and soak up the quiet beauty of Puerto Varas. Finally, get to know Chilean culture in vibrant Santiago.
1st Day: US - Night on board
It's time to set off on an unforgettable adventure through two South American countries! Head to your departure airport, ready to catch a flight to Buenos Aires. Night on board.
If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.
2nd Day: Buenos Aires
Touch down in Buenos Aires, a sprawling city, full of colonial architecture and vibrant, Argentinan culture! Transfer to the hotel, get settled in and spend the remainder of the day getting to know this exciting city at your leisure! Check out its atmospheric tango clubs, excellent restaurants and bustling shopping streets. We recommend an optional Dinner and Tango Show this evening.* Overnight stay in Buenos Aires.
3rd Day: Buenos Aires
Breakfast at the hotel. Set off on a 3-hour city tour of Buenos Aires today! Known as the 'Paris of South America', visit the glamorous neighborhoods of Recoleta and Palermo and see Plaza de Mayo and the famous Casa Rosada government office. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and explore the unique architecture of trendy Puerto Madero.
Step back in time to San Telmo, known for its renowned antique market, held every Sunday and stroll along Caminito Street, in the colorful neighborhood of La Boca. The remainder of the day is free to explore Buenos Aires at your leisure. Overnight stay in Buenos Aires.
*Optional Dinner & Tango Show: Experience an immersive evening of Argentinian food and arts at the Dinner and Tango Show. Watch traditional Tango dancers as you dine on Argentinian cuisine.
4th Day: Buenos Aires
Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day at your leisure, revisiting your favorite spots in the city, enjoying the city's green open spaces or discovering the capital's fantastic shopping opportunities. Overnight stay in Buenos Aires.
*Optional Half-Day Excursion to the Tigre Delta: Explore the Tigre Delta on a boat tour, enjoying the islands and the local lifestyle of the Río de la Plata. Visit the fruit market, Victorica Avenue, and the Tigre Art Museum. Return to Buenos Aires with views of the Monumental Stadium and the University City.
**Optional Fogón Asado Dining Experience: Discover the tradition of the Asado. Enjoy an 8-course tasting menu that explores new ways of serving Argentine classic cuts. While sitting in our bar, you will see and experience different cooking techniques on the grill in a close and personal way.
5th Day: Buenos Aires - Bariloche
Breakfast at the hotel. Get your first taste of the natural landscapes of Patagonia today as you transfer to the airport for a flight to Bariloche.
Arrive in Bariloche, check in to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at your leisure. One of the most popular destinations in Argentina, Bariloche sits on the shores of Nahuel Huapi, a large glacial lake surrounded by the Andes Mountains. This charming town is known for its Swiss alpine-style architecture and its chocolate, sold in shops lining Calle Mitre, the main street. Overnight stay in Bariloche.
6th Day: Bariloche
Breakfast at the hotel. Set off on a half-day circuit tour of Bariloche! Discover the natural treasures of this beautiful area, starting on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Take in the views of Huemul Island from Playa Bonita and the breathtaking panoramic vistas on offer at Campanario Hill. From Llao-Llao, see San Eduardo Chapel and Pañuelo Port before crossing the bridge over Lake Moreno to discover more of the lake region including El Trébol.
End the tour with a drive along Avenida Bustillo, which leads to the heart of the city. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy Bariloche at your leisure. Go shopping for handmade chocolates in town or enjoy a peaceful stroll along the lakefront. Overnight stay in Bariloche.
7th Day: Bariloche
Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day at your leisure contemplating the natural landscapes of the lake region and savoring the quaint charms of this Bariloche. Alternatively, we recommend an optional excursion to the stunning Cerro Tronador, on the border between Argentina and Chile!* Overnight stay in Bariloche.
* Optional Excursion to Cerro Tronador: Discover the most beautiful areas of the Nahuel Huapi National Park and visit forests, lakes, beaches, mountains and waterfalls. Admire the Tronador, which stands at 3,478 meters above sea level and creates an impressive natural border between Argentina & Chile. Visit Black Ventisquero, a glacier whose origin is the snow from the summit of Tronador and enjoy views of the waterfalls and channels of the Manso River. Return to Bariloche.
8th Day: Bariloche - Puerto Varas
Enjoy breakfast, then self-transfer to the meeting point specified by your guide for the much-anticipated crossing of the Andes via the lakes that connect Argentina and Chile. Pass through emerald waters surrounded by native forests and unique mountain landscapes for an unforgettable journey. Firstly, cross Lake Nahuel Huapi aboard the Gran Victoria.
Arrive at Puerto Blest, where you'll catch a bus to Puerto Alegre, before continuing your voyage on Lake Frias aboard the Victoria del Sur. Take in the views of Cerro Tronador before arriving at Puerto Frias to complete border formalities. Enter Chile and continue by bus to Peulla to visit an eco-lodge, a paradise for nature lovers. Next, set sail to Petrohué, navigating the waters of Lake Todos los Santos. If the weather permits, different and breathtaking views of the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes can be enjoyed.
Finally, continue to Puerto Varas, passing by Lake Llanquihue before disembarking and transferring to your hotel. After an unforgettable day, spend the evening at your leisure. Overnight stay in Puerto Varas.

9th Day: Puerto Varas
Breakfast at the hotel. Get to know this beautiful region of Patagonia on a half-day tour of Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt. Explore Puerto Varas, the 'City of Roses', and discover its mix of German and Chilean culture, evident in the city's gastronomy, architecture and traditional crafts.
Visit the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and Avenida Costanera before continuing through the Lakes Region to Puerto Montt, known for its fishing industry. Observe the panoramic views of the bay and Tenglo Island before visiting the local cathedral and the bustling seafood market.
Visit Angelmo Craft Market to admire the local crafts, including copper goods, woollen textiles and lapis lazuli before returning to Puerto Varas. The remainder of the day is free to relax at your leisure. Overnight stay in Puerto Varas.
10th Day: Puerto Varas
Breakfast at the hotel. Spend a day in Puerto Varas at your leisure. We recommend visiting the Patrimonial District and the German Houses, to admire the quaint architecture or paying a visit to the fascinating Pablo Fierro Museum. Why not discover more of the natural beauty of this area with an excursion to the Osorno Volcano and Petrohue River?* Overnight stay in Puerto Varas.
*Optional Osorno Volcano & Petrohue River Excursion: Travel along the south bank of Lake Llanquihue to Vincente Perez Rosales National Park where you can admire the rapid turquoise flow of the Petrohue River and Lake Todos Los Santos. Stop for lunch and take in the views of the spectacular Osorno Volcano.
11th Day: Puerto Varas - Santiago
Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to Puerto Montt airport to catch a flight to the Chilean capital of Santiago. Arrive in Santiago and transfer to the hotel.
Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the beautiful city which is surrounded by Andean mountains and boasts a charming historic centre. We recommend strolling around the colonial centre and people-watching in one of the many cafe terraces. Overnight stay in Santiago.
12th Day: Santiago
Breakfast at the hotel. Get out and explore Santiago, a city full of stimulating possibilities, on a fascinating half-day city tour. Begin in the centre, on the main avenue of the city, to learn about its history and landmarks. Descend to the cobblestoned neighbourhood of Lastarría, bursting with green spaces and fancy 19th-century mansions, now restored and mostly used as cafes, restaurants, bookstores and museums.
Next, experience the spectacular views from Cerro Santa Lucia where you can contemplate the city and hear more about its fascinating history. Descend the hill and pass by the emblematic Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral of Santiago and the former national congress. Dig deeper into Chilean history at the majestic La Moneda Palace and Plaza de la Constitución. It's time to smell the aromas and admire the amazing fresh produce at the Central Market before continuing to a Lapis Lazuli store to admire the beautiful crafts and handmade jewellery.
Return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing at your leisure. Wine lovers should indulge in the local Chilean wines, they're exceptional. Overnight stay in Santiago.
13th Day: Santiago - US
Breakfast at the hotel. It's time to bring your amazing adventure through South America to an end. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to catch a flight back to the US. Arrive in the US and end your trip.
