Itinerary
Discover the cultures of Peru and Chile. Begin in Lima and try its iconic ceviche. Uncover the Sacred Valley and Cuzco before exploring Machu Picchu for an unforgettable bucket-list experience. Next, head south to cosmopolitan Santiago de Chile, discovering coastal Valparaíso and Viña del Mar before flying to Easter Island to explore the home of the Rapa Nui people.

1st Day: Lima

Arrive in Lima, the capital of Peru, situated on the Pacific Coast. Transfer* to the hotel, and spend the rest of the day exploring the city's colonial streets and magical plazas at your leisure. Overnight stay in Lima.

*If you want to have the hotel room available before 2:00 p.m., you can add early check-in at an additional cost in the next step of the purchase process.

2nd Day: Lima

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy an informative and interesting city tour of Lima, including its Historic Centre and the Santo Domingo Convent. Start by exploring the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro before heading to the Historic Center. Visit the impressive Convent of Santo Domingo and walk to the Plaza de Armas to admire the exquisite colonial architecture that surrounds it. Stop in the Parque del Amor, from where you can take beautiful photos of the Peruvian coastline. Overnight stay in Lima.

*Optional visit to the Larco Museum: visit this private museum of pre-Columbian art to explore the history and culture of Peru through an array of outstanding collections of art pieces.

3rd Day: Lima - Cuzco - Sacred Valley

Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for a flight to Cuzco. Arrive in Cuzco, the former Inca capital, and transfer to the Sacred Valley. On the way, stop at Museo Sulca and savor the opportunity to explore this living museum where ancient customs and traditions have been preserved across the centuries. Watch local communities creating beautiful handmade textiles and soak up the beautiful views, unchanged by time. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, exploring the lively immaculate scenery of this iconic region. Overnight stay in Sacred Valley.

4th Day: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, an exciting day awaits you in Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Transfer to the village of Ollantaytambo to travel by train* to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu village) and enjoy the beautiful green mountain scenery along the way.

Once there, transfer by bus to the ancient Inca city of the Citadel for approximately a 2:30h visit which may take place in the morning or afternoon depending on availability. Enjoy the spectacular views of this Peruvian treasure built in the 15th century at an altitude of more than 2000 meters.

Return by bus to Aguas Calientes and, depending on the return train schedule, you will have free time to explore the town at your own pace. Travel by train back to Ollantaytambo, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in Sacred Valley.

5th Day: Sacred Valley - Cuzco

Breakfast at the hotel. Set off towards Cuzco, with the opportunity to enjoy the optional Sacred Valley excursion* along the way, to experience the best of the region. Arrive in Cuzco and spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, enjoying the lively plazas at night. Overnight stay in Cuzco.

* Optional Essence of the Sacred Valley Excursion: Discover the millenary history and vibrant culture of the Sacred Valley. Begin in Chinchero, visiting the Parwa Cultural Center to learn about traditional textiles and their symbolism. Observe the artisans in action, from the extraction of natural dyes to the weaving techniques passed down through generations. Explore the archaeological complex of Chinchero, an ancient agricultural and livestock center of the Tahuantinsuyo, and admire the Nuestra Señora de Monserrat church, an example of the fusion between Andean and Spanish cultures. Then, visit Moray, a fascinating archaeological site with concentric terraces that functioned as an Incan agricultural laboratory. Enjoy a local lunch before heading to Ollantaytambo, an ancient military, religious, and agricultural center. Tour its impressive stone fortress and main temple while enjoying unparalleled views of the town, which still retains its original Incan urban design. Stroll through its stone streets, visit the market, and immerse yourself in the authentic spirit of the Andes.

6th Day: Cuzco

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, set off on a fascinating half-day tour of Cuzco. Begin in the iconic Plaza de Armas, and visit the Cathedral. From here, walk to the Koricancha Temple, an impressive ancient Inca palace, in honour of the Sun God. Today, a Dominican church stands on the site. Finally, visit the lively San Blas neighbourhood, known for its artists, shops and artisan workshops. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, soaking up the atmosphere of the city and perhaps sampling the local cuisine.* Overnight stay in Cuzco.

*Optional Dinner Show in Cusco: A perfect occasion to enjoy a wonderful dinner in the heart of Cusco, and a lively and colorful show with live music and traditional dances.

7th Day: Cuzco - Lima

Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for a flight to Lima. Arrive, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in Lima.

8th Day: Lima - Santiago de Chile

Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for a flight to Santiago de Chile.

Arrival at the airport in the Chilean capital. Transfer to the hotel to check-in and, depending on your time of arrival, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Why not familiarize yourself with this vibrant and cosmopolitan city? Sample the local cuisine or enjoy cocktails in the trendy neighborhood of Bellavista. Enjoy panoramic views of the Andes mountains that surround this South American metropolis. Overnight stay in Santiago de Chile.

9th Day: Santiago de Chile

Breakfast at the hotel. Start your adventure by taking part in a guided city tour —everything from the “Sanhattan” skyscrapers to the old-world colonial architecture in a captivating fusion of old meets new.

Begin the tour at the hotel. Walk down the city’s main avenue, visit the cobblestoned streets of Lastarría, known for its colonial mansions, get lost in the beauty of Santa Lucia Hill and stop by a panoramic viewpoint to gaze across Santiago and learn more about the city's history. From there, head over to the Plaza de Armas, home to the Cathedral of Santiago (the former national congress), the imposing government house La Moneda and the Plaza de la Constitución.

Finally, stop by a Lapis Lazuli store where you can purchase one-of-a-kind jewelry and unique handicrafts to take back home with you. Transfer to your hotel and overnight stay in Santiago de Chile.

10th Day: Santiago de Chile

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive west towards the coast through the Casablanca Valley, admiring the landscapes of this important wine-growing region. This seaside area is a popular resort for Chileans living in Santiago, who frequently make the short drive for weekends or holidays.

Reach Valparaíso, a center of maritime trade and UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its vibrant cultural scene and distinctive colonial architecture. Take a guided tour of the city, seeing various eclectic neighborhoods as well as the three converted houses that make the Pablo Neruda Museum (entrance not included). Experience the steep hills that characterize "Valpo" and get lost in the brightly-colored maze of streets.

Next, visit Viña del Mar, which was originally a wine-making region, and is today the most popular beach town in Chile. Visit attractions such as the Reloj de Flores, located at the base of the Castle Hill. Also see the Fonck Museum, Quinta Vergara, and Los Cañones Beach. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Santiago.

11th Day: Santiago de Chile - Easter Island

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, transfer to Santiago Airport for the next part of your adventure! Arrive at Easter Island, and be met by a representative who will assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, enjoy a free afternoon to explore at your leisure. Overnight stay on Easter Island. 

12th Day: Easter Island

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we embark on a full-day tour of this magical island, following the footsteps of the island's first king, Ariki Hotu Matua. We’ll visit several archeological sites, starting with Akahanga, Rano Raraku, and Ahu Tongariki, which are central to Rapa Nui culture, before breaking for lunch.

Next, we’ll explore Vaihu, an interpretative Rapa Nui village featuring traditional houses, ovens, and chicken coops from ancient times. We’ll then visit Ahu Akahanga, which has a platform with 12 moai statues and an unrestored village. Continuing on, we’ll head to Ahu Tongariki, renowned for its 15 restored moai statues. At the Rano Raraku volcano, we’ll hike for an hour to see over 400 moai in various stages of carving, learning about their history and feeling the energy of the place. The tour will conclude at Anakena Beach, believed to be where the first king of Easter Island landed. Enjoy free time to relax on the white sand and swim in the clear water. 13th Day: Easter Island

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we will visit Ahu Vinapu to see the Ahu Tahira wall, which resembles Incan walls, and a red scoria moai that might represent a two-headed woman. Next, we’ll climb to Volcano Rano Kau, home to the island's largest and most beautiful crater, offering stunning views that make you feel at the center of the world. At the ceremonial village of Orongo, we’ll explore the Birdman Competition, a tradition lasting until 1864, where participants would travel to the islet of Motu Nui in search of the Manutara bird’s egg to be declared leaders. Back in town, enjoy a beautiful sunset either in front of Ahu Tahai or by the sea. Why not take advantage of a free afternoon by going on an optional excursion to Ahu Akivi?* Overnight stay on Easter Island.

*Optional Ahu Akivi excursion: Visit Ahu Tahai, which features three restored platforms and is notable for being the only place with a moai that has eyes made of white coral. Then, continue to Ahu Akivi, an impressive archaeological site where you can see seven moais facing the sea, an unusual and fascinating detail. Afterward, head to Puna Pau, the crater of a volcano where the "Pukao," or moai hats, were carved, and learn about their significance and the crafting process.

14th Day: Easter Island - Santiago de Chile

Breakfast at the hotel. Sadly, it's already time to leave this incredible island. At the agreed time, the transfer will take you to the airport to board your flight back to the capital. Overnight stay in Santiago de

15th Day: Santiago de Chile - US
Breakfast* at the hotel. It’s time to wrap up your Chilean adventure. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to board a flight back home to the US.
